if you're here, it's probably because you're looking for information on the startup BuildIt! Well, fret not, because you're in the right place: this is, indeed, the temporary BuildIt homepage. Yes, you read that right: this homepage is, thankfully (or unfortunately), temporary. The goal of this page is simply to give you some insight into what our team vision is and how BuildIt is suited to execute it.

BuildIt is an online marketplace intended to soothe "inventor anxiety" (a totally real term we didn't make up) by collating all the resources amateur inventor's might need into one place; on BuildIt, people with valuable ideas, but no easy means to enact them, will be able to post tasks that hobbyists, freelancers, and professionals can bid on, hence providing consumers with the talent they need to obtain necessary services at reasonable price points and experience levels. Examples of services people can bid on include patent lawyers, 3D printers, material scientists, and manufacturers, to name a few.

What makes us different from sights like Fiverr & UpWork? Well, first of all, we're significantly more of a niche, focusing on the individual stages of product design, especially on physical products, something which our aforementioned competitors ignore entirely. Next, we have forums, Q&As, and the guidance inventors need to know how to bring their ideas to fruition. Finally, we plan on bringing a level of professionalism and security those other sites just don't have.
